I wasn’t able to be at home for Halloween evening, but I was thinking about wearing a costume that looked like this to hand out candy.

Halloween is growing in popularity in Australia. However, COVID-19 & the constant rain in the evening made it a non event in our street. Sad for the children who like to dress up & roam the street (with parents in tow….the age of innocence is long gone) to score chocolate treats from the neighbours.

No trick or treaters here, although as usual I had a bag of candy just in case. I cleverly got a couple of popular types which I don’t like myself, so I’ll just leave them at work. They’ll get eaten.

—And that was only the younger kids! More experienced Trick-or-Treaters would not approach Monty’s house in the first place!

Ain’t nothing so sterile as a sanitized piece of candy….

We had about ¼ of our usual trick-or-treater total (only 8 this year). Lots of little treat bags left.

Good costume. That’s real horror, instead of the cutesy fake ghosts and goblins the kids are used to. Heartwarming to see someone honors the real meaning of Halloween, even if by accident.

Probably because of the bogus candy bar. Who ever heard of a Babyth? ;-)

He should have dressed as Gordon Freeman.

I thought it was a Halo Major Chief costume.
