I’ve seen characters in “Zits,” “Baby Blues,” and “The Family Circus” use masks. Maybe those panel borders aren’t that secure.

Was in Kansas and Missouri,a lot of people don’t wear masks either!!!

I always wondered why are the cups they sip out of, tiny? Are they drinking espresso, or Turkish coffee?

It can be espresso, turkish or just strong coffee. Europe coffee culture is different than the US. The main difference is that in Europe, the emphasis is on quality vs quantity. In Europe, the coffee culture is more social rather than just a quick caffeine fix.I spent a month in Germany a few yrs ago and noticed that quality of both the beer and coffee were far superior to US versions.

Nothing comical about this disease.

Guess you didn’t like being criticised for showing characters without masks.

They’re just acting … presidential.

The only comics that don’t address the mask issue and covid are reruns, or comics by cartoonists with their heads in the sand

Considering mejda tried to make a big issue of this a while back on this comment section I have to wonder if this comic is a response

I’d like to tell all artists, masks or no, your choice, your creation (world), bless and thank you all. Same goes for the fourth wall, bend it, break it, or leave it, not my say.

Thank you, Mr. Hector D. Cantú and Mr. Carlos Castellanos for stating the truth. We come to the comics to escape the world and it’s troubles. We sure don’t need the world’s troubles invading one of our few pleasures left. We know the dangers.

The comic strip characters that wear masks are concerned about the virus coming from the fourth wall. Not the four walls around each panel, but you, dear reader.

I think the virus is contained within the balloons.

Comics are often drawn far ahead of time, long before current events.
