Grocers would be money ahead if they gave even a 2% discount for self checkout — even I would use it then.

Most of the time employees don’t even get a discount

This was a Facebook meme. Who WOULDN’T rather use self chaeckout as opposed to talking to a Walmart cashier?

P.S. Your discount comes when you scan a lower priced item and throw the more expensive one in the bag!

Nope. I’ll wait. Got no place to be.

I simply refuse to use the self checkout. I enjoy the interaction with the cashiers and as, Plods said, I’ve no place else to go.

More money for the Walton Twins, etc. to put into stocks. Less money for cashiers to buy whatever goods or services you provide.

We should also get employee orientation and a w-4 form.

An employee discount this week, a pink slip next week… nah, I’m okay with it, just to speed up the lines.

I will never use self-checkout again. 1. That’s a cashier job gone. 2. I’m not paid to be a checker. 3. I don’t get a discount for paying off a checker. 4. I’m not comfortable with it. I always feel like I’m doing something wrong.

Self-checkout doesn’t bother me — just part of the modern world.

But I feel the same way as Jamaal when it comes to wearing clothing that advertises the manufacturer’s name or having a license plate frame with the dealer’s name on it. If I’m doing advertising for these guys, how come I’m not getting paid?
