My fingers and toes are always wrinkled when I get out of the tub.

But the friends made it to being old, which is a plus, at least for the friends. And considering the number of my HS Classmates that I have heard are not going to be around for this year’s 50th, I can understand the joy that my mother got from while alive for still having college friends that she saw from time to time and how that made my father happy.

We all know that the reason Arlo wants a hot tub is because he found that

which Janis hid in the back of her dresser drawer.

Hot tubs aren’t much trouble. A little chlorine every now and then plus some PH Up keeps the water crystal clear. We have a brand (I know I’m not supposed to say which) that uses only $5 of electricity per month yet maintains the desired temperature 24/7. I get in it every morning with a donut and coffee and watch the sun come up. One of life’s little luxuries.

A hot tub can be so confining compared with, say, every room in the house. >:-)

You should NOT be inviting friends over to get in the hot tub. It’s very unsanitary.

Well, OK, all right, we’ll make an exception for that single athletic woman your age.

    But only once.

    Per week.

A hot tub?!?!? Oh, boy! Let’s have some people over so we can sit in hot, bubbling water together & make poop soup!

There are many good reasons to not have a hot tub. Main reason is that you wouldn’t use it much. However, I resent the statement that you don’t get a hot tub because you and your friends are old and wrinkled. You and your friends would probably enjoy it even more because of its relaxing nature. But if the implication is that you wouldn’t want to see your friends in or out of a bathing suit due to their age, you better reevaluate your own age prejudices. Easier still, just use the bathtub…..

When I bought my house – it came with a hot tub which I loved the idea of. Sadly … the practice has not lived up to that with my current workload. I think in the future an indoor jacuzzi tub might be in the offing …

When we had one, I wore a pair of white ‘kinis’ and a white bra, in case some one came by. White because the chlorine would fade out the colors.

The girls in my class used to go out of their way to tell me how unattractive I was. Since I wasn’t trying to attract them, it made no sense. Now I have a perfectly good excuse — I was ahead of my time.
