What is it with us Americans electing celebrities? Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jesse Ventura, George Murphy, Shirley Temple, and of course our current POTUS – what possible reason could anyone think they’re qualified to govern? At least Reagan had been a union president and a state governor before becoming president and had some political experience. I think half the voters just mark the only name they recognize.
A reality show where all the contestants disappear into the ocean is what I call a mild success… A full success is when the show’s producers go down with the contestants.
There is currently a failed oxygen system in one of the Russian modules of the ISS. The official report is that the Russians have been using 15-year-rated systems for 20 years. Not the kind of thing you like to hear, if you are living onboard.
Next, an endless series of upbeat press conferences talking about how their experts don’t know anything and putting the best possible spin on the unfolding disaster. Did you know you could inject seawater directly into the station to fix it? Flushes it right out. It’s like a miracle or something.
