BTW, I have been informed that Comics Kingdom’s visible “Vintage Comics”‘list is all there is in vintage-style comics. No “Out Our Way”, no “Our Boarding House”, no “Steve Roper”. No "Smilin’ Jack" nor “Terry and the Pirates” nor “Wash Tubbs” nor “Gordo”.

“Joe Palooka”? Nope. “Little Lulu”? “Priscilla’s Pop”? Fat chance.

Not worth the trouble AFAIC.

How symbolic can it be, the return of Vlad the Enforcer, after so long an absence? And with the resourceful Miss Ninette at his side, all manner of wanton acts of appreciation can be directed at portly Mr. J. Francis! Similarly, Froglandians express their appreciation to Ms. Shena Wolf, Queen for a Day in this our jungle!

A great burden has been lifted! I put aside my boulder for this time of celebration….

oh well, I guess my gocomics premium membership shall remain …sigh..

My last entry in the journal was the day before I left to attend the Annual Tadpole Championships and the Festival of Fecal Plumage, more than a year and a half ago. I remember, now that I read it, that I set out on skis, with a supply of jerked road-kill squirrel and zebra chips. It’s not that far, but even from a high place, well out of sight. It should be about forty miles, as the crow flies. And mostly downhill, so it doesn’t take long at all with good snow. My skis and pack will come back by Froglandia Package Services in a couple of days, probably. I left instructions for their shipment. I had spent the night at a small town along the way as I was returning, but decided against stopping at the next opportunity on the way back, expecting to be able to make it home before morning, having started very early that day, with enough moonlight to make the path safe to navigate. I think I just sort of crumpled into the ditch between the time the sun set and the moon rose, though it wasn’t dark enough for me to have strayed from the path. There will probably always be a few minutes there that are lost to me, probably the same time that I² was suspended between probabilities in an unconscious state.
