For some reason I’m remembering my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Cotta. She was a beautiful, young, sweet woman. Miss Edwards kind of looked like her (minus the chair). She died when I was in 6th grade. I was devastated.
I am sorry for your loss. My 1st grade teacher was my fave and Mrs. R “retired” to a church office that’s across the street from my own work so I still see her often.
Trying to remember if, at that age, my and my friends ever had that many questions about any of our teachers. I do remember being in Junior High and we all had a “thing” for one of the more attractive female teachers, but being that young, we didn’t know what to do about it except say stupid things among ourselves.
When I was in fourth grade I had a very pretty, young teacher. She was married to the basketball coach. Then he was killed in a hunting accident by her brother. She never returned to the classroom.
Personally, I think that Miss Edwards is addressing the subject which she herself raised: If you want to know anything about the test information, just ask me.

No fun in gossip if you just get the straight truth at the start.

I’m sure it’s not the first time she’s been talked about.

Her boyfriend must be Forrest Gump’s superior officer: “Lt. Dan, you got new legs!”

Not being able to walk is normally not connected to one’s hearing.

People say things like “just ask me”, but when someone does OTHER people get all bent out of shape and call them rude and insensitive.

Of course she’ll date if she wants to and get married if she wants to.
