    Medical terms typically use a combining vowel when joining word roots with prefixes or suffixes, to make them easier to pronounce, so the word she’s trying to coin would more likely be “lackopathy.” (I teach medical vocabulary and this is the first time I’ve ever been able to introduce that facet of my life into the comments, so please bear with me.)
