So this guy is walking down the street when someone pulls a gun on him and says, “Your money or your life.” He replies, “Take my life, I need my money for my old age.”

When our sons were young, we used to send them off to school and say, “So long, boys! Have fun storming the castle!”

Apparently websites like FANDOM and CBR, in this new age of data mining, allow otaku like Herbie to monetize their gifts, even on an incremental basis.

And may I warn TStyle78 that their comment about the movie is inordinately foolish to utter in a forum chiefly populated by otaku…

…as the original word has connotations of a scholarly nature if one possesses the capability of reading hiragana and katakana.

The most interesting thing, to me, about that movie: I don’t know anyone who doesn’t know it. Say “as you wish” or, better, “inconceivable!” and you’ll always get a reaction. I had a coffee mug at work a few years ago that read My name is Inigo Montoya. You touch my coffee. Prepare to die and everyone knew the reference.

I heard rumors that there were people that didn’t like Princess Bride, but I always thought they were a myth. LOL

There have been many Princess Bride gags on Working Daze over the years. Never gets less funny. For there must always be a Princess Bride referance

My only beef with popular authors is those who use their popularity to push extremely unpopular political ideals. I know of one in particular who hates LGBT people and never passes up the opportunity to make disparaging remarks about them. Is it to keep her name in the news or does she just hate those who may not be “perfect” as she says she is? I don’t know, but it DOES make me look at her published works in a different light.
