I swear, if Rubin and Whigham lose their nerve and have her actually fall for either Beavis or Butthead before the arc is out, I will hunt them down and beat them over the heads and shoulders with a porcupine.
High school romance has always been an element of the strip since year one. It doesn’t always go well, but it is part of the high school experience as much as team sports… But if they want to have her break Rapson’s nose I’d be all in favor of it.
In all reality , You know what a good show is Rapper, the way Mopman makes the hallways shine here . Appreciate the little things in life , now get lost before you have a medical emergency !
You would think with all of Gil’s experience, he has a Freshman or Sophomore QB to develop, but nooooo! All the more reason to have True on the staff since he probably isn’t driving to Arizona for the Instructional League.
What is this? Always only CK and a guy walking alone in a school hallway. Question is, are they late for class, or is this building to a Twilight Zone story arc, where CK discovers the reason they are always by themselves and breaks the fourth wall, telling the cartoonist directly to ’eff off
P 1.5: “…well, the spread was 21 and a half Marty and we were only up by 17, so I had to keep goin’ for more…I’m in so deep with those guys, Gas-pipe, No-Nose, the Clown, Ice-man, and The Ant, over in Central City, that I can’t afford any more games where we don’t cover the spread…”
Wasn’t Marty just complaining last week about Milford’s boring offense. If I didn’t know better I would think Marty has grudge against Gil. Gil just can’t win with him.
That’s good strategy. The only QB you allow to throw the ball is your emergency QB, the one who basically never plays. And speaking of strategy, what better strategy could you have than to read Mopped Up Thorp every day?

P4: “For your next good show, turn right for the egress.” Time for CK’s next pitch and catch with True?

2nd time in a week Rapp and CK have the halls all to themselves, are they meeting while everyone else is in class? People will talk. Or not.

P1, You could have used some of those points last week, Coach.
P2, If I wanted to run up the score I wouldn’t have played any of my 3 loser quarterbacks.
P3, I was having a rousing game of Uno with my Mom. It was a real barnburner!

One of these days Marty Moon is going to get the Jim Rome/Jim Everett treatment.

I wonder if she’s regretting her choice moving here. I think Terry hitting on you would get old real fast…

P-1: Hey Gil! Look what a clean shave this Remington gave me, it even trims goatees!
P-2: “Run up the score”. Is that a play on words?
P-3: Saturday morning, an unexpected meeting as they break in to try to find next weeks quiz.
