Does Tarzan even know who he is looking for, not that there are a lot of women wandering around in the jungle?

If this follows the book, however loosely, she will be in the hands of the opposition…..

Hopefully Tarzan will be observing more dino’s on the way….

And he has no idea what she looks like…

Or maybe she fled afraid that Omat would claim her, in the biblical sense ?

Cue the Victoria Secret model.

Tarzan never stopped to sniff her spoor so he can follow her. Oh well, just look for the ugly, hairy beast with bad teeth walking through the jungle.

Tarzan shared his shaving secret with Omat.

Is there some kind of phallic suggestion going on here?

Love the crosshatching technique in the background of P2. I don’t see that patten often, and it works well with the solid black masses.

Also, it was good they turned off the lights in the cave when they left. Saves on the power bill.

One thing I noticed in this strip, too, is John Celardo’s inconsistencies with hands. Look at Tarzan’s hand crossed on his arm in P2. A big manly hand. Look at his left hand in P3. Oddly small for his frame. Omat’s left hand in P1 and P3 is poorly rendered. His right hand in P1 has a limp-wristed droop that Stan Lee would never allow in one of his comics. Someone noted that Tarzan’s hand had the same limp droop a day or two ago. I like Celardo’s work but I think he has a problem with hands, or someone is ghosting here for him.

I think Omat is looking a little less ugly as the day progresses.

The leadership position in that tribe appears a bit shaky if you can’t even step out for a while without someone else claiming to be king.

Tarzan just can’t help himself. It appears that he’ll get involved in anything just to avoid going home.

Anyone else notice that the brutish features on Omat have somehow morphed into more gentle lines now that he’s king?

Somebody at least needs to put a hand rail on those stairs!

Smart Fauna to get away from these hairy and smelly cavemen! Tarzan will give a taste of what a “civilized” jungle man is. Sure hope this mysterious Fauna is worth it, maybe she’ll resemble Dorothy Lamour in a sarong and thong outfit with a coconut bra!

So he’s going to go look for someone and

a) he has no idea what she looks like; and

b) she has no idea who he is and has no reason to trust him.

Yeah, that’ll work.

The art work here is very good generally, with the possible exception of Tarzan. He always seems kind of wooden.
