This reminds me of a cartoon I saw long ago and I’m sorry I can’t credit the cartoonist. The caption was “If Time Travel Were Real” and it showed a long line of people queued up at Ford’s Theater to stop the assassination.
(The line would have been longer except half the time travellers were waiting to strangle Baby Hitler.)
He should stick around and talk to Grover Cleveland, one of my favorite presidents. Cleveland fought hard against the country going to war with Spain, famously telling a senator that Congress may declare war, but he, as Commander-in-Chief, wasn’t sending the troops anywhere.
Suck it up, Monty! This travesty is not going to end for a long time, what with late mail ballots and predictable court challenges. I doubt if Mr. Lincoln would have any solution for it, unless he chose to go to war over it….
Cleveland was a fine President, showing him drinking and half in the bag is a shame, especially when there are a lot of Chief Executives whose entire time in office suggests at least rampant stupidity if not inebriation.

He didn’t think to go forward to see who won?

What tips would Lincoln have to give? He was shot because of it.

By this time in 1865, I’m afraid, Lincoln was no longer available.

If I could go back in time to change the future I’d go find the F@#* who invented the necktie and strangle him with it!

Wow – only 1 hateful comment referencing today’s politicians – that is the big shock to me!

It’s amazing the way Grover Cleveland just so easily understood and accepted the fact of a time traveler passing through. Who would’ve thought that?

No one wants to see that.

There are ghost and UFO reports that are almost believable. Time travel, not so much. The Philadelphia Experiment was pretty good.
