Wait. So … … … … he got Earl’s mother’s name tattooed on before he was as old as Earl is now? Talk about some “second sight!”

Nerd alert. It’s canon in Marvel comics that Wolverine’s healing means his tattoos disappear after a week or so. He’s impressed plenty of ladies by getting his ‘first tattoo’ in their honon.

Makes me think of Ed “Too-Tall” Jones of the Dallas Cowboys. 6’9". I wonder if Duke got drunk one night and “played for the other team”. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

We hope the name of Earl’s mom was not one of the three Duke got as a pre-teen… But given Duke’s lifestyle he could be a lot older than he looks.

I was told a long time ago that the only tattoos to have put on the body are of ( Mother or God ) because hey are the only ones that really love you .

I figure his first would have been “boobs”.

Readers have been asking all week “Where are Duke’s tattoos? Where are Duke’s tattoos?” Now we know (about some of them) and it’s nitpick, nitpick, nitpick. Some people are just never happy. ;-)

That said, those aren’t necessarily the three tattoos Duke got by the time he was Earl’s age, they’re just the first ones that Earl saw.

Duke was no orphan, he was raised by his mother. Either she was very lenient about tattoos or he was canny enough to get his first tattoos somewhere that his mother would have been unlikely to notice them. Hm.
