Granpa needs support…

Handing out heart attacks, well wait until Grandpa brings his new 23 year old floozy girl friend to dinner and announce their engagement.

Family gatherings are not the time or place for that. My cousin came out first to her parents and siblings. She then went to her cousins and aunts and uncles before grandparents and by the time they got to Thanksgiving she had brought her girlfriend and everyone was ok with that or not vocal about it.

Hallmark?

I find this not funny, insensitive and highly offensive. And as a 70s era gay activist I find this totally inappropriate. Coming out to family is frequently one of the most difficult things for young people to do. Often it results in rejection, ostracism, even being put out of the home. (Talk to homeless kids on the street.) And I thought Seattle was so progressive. Shame on you!
