Yes. Conservation of energy. That's not the point! Is this serious to you people? Where's all the potential energy gonna go? Huh? Earlier... If a tree falls in the woods and no one's around to hear, does it make a sound?
Except “conservation of energy” isn’t what makes sound. If something had to make sound to comply with conservation of energy, then the vacuum of space would violate the laws of physics. They guy SHOULD have been kicked out.
You need to listen to Bruce Cockburn “If A Tree Falls”. No matter what your opinion on climate change his guitar work is so impressive you might open up your mind.
Actions that occur in the universe don’t need human verification to exist. A tree falls on a world with an atmosphere, there will be noise. A rather vain homocentric question I’ve found silly for some time.
Pretty arrogant of people to think that if somebody doesn’t hear a noise then that noise could not have happened… another case of men erroneously assuming superiority over physics and nature…

No. It’s just pressure waves travelling through the air until your ears perceive it as sound, or noise cancelling headphones don’t actually work.

Generally “Ouch,” occasionally “damn it”, more rarely “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.”

The political environment has changed. It’s no longer conservation of energy. It’s now liberation of energy.
