You go, Tracy. You wasted your valuable time on Gordon and his insecurities. Make him pay for a date.

Don’t try to fake a hormone attack, Gordon. Allyson won’t buy it.

Future Spoilers:

It’s kinda funny that Tracey’s only really in the strip to play off of Gordon- there was no indication that Mike interacted her with her at all in the comic, but suddenly she’s just “part of the group” as a platonic pal… but only when Gordon’s around. In retrospect it feels telegraphed, but then we didn’t know Lynn’s take on who was destined to marry anyone else at the time.

Forget Allyson. Girls like that are a major pain. Even the spelling of her name screams “high maintenance”.

In the words of the late Lou Rawls, “Bam! Right on!!”

Lynn’s Comments:

Gordon was a character I really enjoyed working with. He was open and honest and vulnerable. Right from the start I wanted him to win.

Maybe she can buy him a big bag of clues at the concession stand.

Tracey has a point, Gordo owns her that for this practice. Sigh…. I really miss go to the movie theater.

You wouldn’t see a student wearing a hat in my HS. It was considered disrespectful at that time. I have no idea when that rule completely disappeared.

Yes indeed teen age boys totally are this clueless. Having raised 1 son and 3 daughters, wife and I quickly found that out.

Sometimes the comments make me wonder about one thing or another. Today: Tracey’s name appears five times in today’s strip, but some commenters still misspelled it. Hmm.

Tracey—1; Gord— 0 (still)

Wake up Gord. Why waste emotional currency on Allyson when Tracy actually deserves it?

If anyone knows the story of how SMS got on cell phones with Nokia it was viewed as a solution to almost exactly this situation.

Look! Tracy didn’t want to roll play as Allyson to begin with. She’s probably had a slight crush on Gordon to start with and knew he had a fantasy, of going out with a girl that’s way out out of his league. Yes, Tracey took advantage of the situation. Who’s hurt. If it works out they become a couple. If not Tracy is over her crush and Gordon may have enough confidence to ask Allyson out.

Gord-head, wake up and realize that Tracey is a way better catch than that snot-rag Allyson.
