in re grackles: south-central Texas is full of ‘em. come to any town in the area on a winter’s evening and you’ll think you’re experiencing Hitchcock’s The Birds. (search the internet for images using the keywords “grackles flocking” and you’ll see what i mean). Austin even has a pub called the grackle.

Either Dana reads the comments, or they have good attention to detail. Either way, I like Dakota arcs so I hope this goes on for awhile.

I don’t know if it’s me, but I keep hearing Marigold in Lily Tomlin’s voice. (Miss Frizzle for you young’ns.)

Marigold’s “serious voice” is Don Lafontaine in my mind. (For those who don’t know who that is, he’s the guy who narrated all of the movie trailers back in the day; e.g. “In a world….”)

Serious Marigold is hilarious! Dakota seem impressed.

Serious unicornese accent works best in Baskerville or Luminaria fonts, not eye squint.

The haunting doesn’t seem to be malicious and has a great fondness for cocoa.
