Schrödinger didn’t say anything about the cat being able to talk, and besides, I thought pasta was banned from this comic; that looks suspiciously like spaghetti in your hand, er mouth, er paw….whatever.
Meh. It’s all rather Platonic (walls, shadows, real deals, etc.), in a feline sort of way. I for my part am more Aristotelean, and rarely heed mere phantasmagoria when they meow at me….

In the allegory, Plato likens people untutored in the Theory of Forms to prisoners chained in a cave, unable to turn their heads. All they can see is the wall of the cave. Behind them burns a fire. … The puppeteers, who are behind the prisoners, hold up puppets that cast shadows on the wall of the cave.

…my Dad was in the hospital and one of the nurses asked my sister if she(my sister) was related to me…
…yes, replied my sister…
..when my sister said a nurse knew me from college…
… I wondered if it was in a biblical sense…
…when I finally met the nurse, I had no recall of her at all…
…not her name…
…not her face…
…but I politely said that I did…
…only later did I wonder…
…could had she been the gal I hooked up with one night…
…but not in a Biblical sense…
…that I only gave my first name to…
…yet, two days later knocked on my house door saying she wanted me to meet her parents?…
… Edgar Allan Poe scary…
…when I answered the door and she was on the other side I heard the shrieks of horror from the shower scene of Psycho…

As the day grows longer, I grow shorter. As the day grows shorter, I grow longer. What am I?
Wrong! I am bored and indifferent. I am always bored and indifferent. Look at my shadow. It is the shadow of a cat.

I think I saw those whisker shadow-casters at Hobby Lobby. (Made by Fender?) They were right next to the portable sundials and the Magic Lanterns®.

Did you see his name in the local paper
Stole a tin of beans from a cut-priced grocery store?
The judge said, “He must pay”
So, he put him on probation and the paper gave his name
Did you see his name in the criminal section
And the center page gave his name and his address
They stopped him doing it again
So, they put him to dishonour and put the man to shame
He lost his little job
His employer was absolved of blame
His world just crumbled down
Incidentally, did you see his name in the obituary column
.

And after the end of the year when they delete Sherpa, a lot of the readers won’t remember that site. I, for one, will never forget it.

…shadows upon shadows is a thing…
…while walking my dog, Ing, at night, different light sources cast different shadows on the same ground together…
…I’ve even seen light on a shadow…
…but really shadow across light…
…a forklift had a blue safe distance light and a white – see where you are going – light…
…all while carrying a rack…
…the white light cast a shadow that looked like a perfect box around the blue square safety light…
…so it looked like – as the forklift traveled down the isle- as though there were a shadow box on the ground with a blue light illuminated inside it…
…I thought some artist could really do some kind of display with this….
…but not me…
…I am an unhandy Andy sort of fellow…
…you are getting sleepy…
…sleepy…
…sleepy…
…you will write a commentary comment about the man on the moon…
…and shadow government…
…do it now….
…sleepy….

Well you know your time has come and you’re sorry for what you’ve done
You should’ve never have been playing with a gun
In those complicated shadows
Well there’s a line that you must toe
And it’ll soon be time to go
But it’s darker than you know in those complicated shadows

If you are the dealer, I’m out of the game
If you are the healer, it means I’m broken and lame
If thine is the glory then mine must be the shame
You want it darker
We kill the flame
Magnified, sanctified, be thy holy name
Vilified, crucified, in the human frame
A million candles burning for the help that never came
You want it darker
.
You Want It Darker – Leonard Cohen
