Actually, according to the book it’s about love, and then being sad for the rest of your life because you don’t get to be with your beloved anymore. And according to the movie, your beloved is a scrawny squinty fella.
I had a roommate who was quite taken with a sparkly-eyed young man who quoted poetry to her…until she found out the sparkle was from LSD and the poetry was song lyrics he heard at the record store where he worked.
I’ve wanted to comment since the start of this arc… but resisted. Thing is , back when Bridges was published (read it) followed by the film (roped into seeing it by a significant other – main squeeze), I felt it was easy, treacly tripe and that several hours of my life that were gone…forever. Pretty funny to think back…

Zeke has a romantic (adulterous) side.

I’ll lay odds that he probably hasn’t read Yeats.

Romance? Talk is cheap. Until you actually do all those things your just talking your way into a “situation”.

Quoting Yeats? Doesn’t sound particularly romantic to me, especially after prolonged rough beast exposure.

Yup, I can see Zeke reading Yeats.

Go for it (him, Zeke), JJ! Mike will find that he can do much better. (I certainly did after being dumped by wife #1.)
