Yeah, I had that same problem when I first had to get bifocals back in 1985. Then had to have cataract surgery on both eyes in 2001 and suddenly I had 2020 vision. Until 2018 when I had to start wearing glasses again, 1 for driving and in 2020 had to get another pair just for reading.

Sometimes with progressive lenses you lose track of which way your eyeballs are pointed.
