Interesting! A metal trap door plate activated by a metal throw switch in the previous comic! Amazing how advanced this prehistoric civilization is. Will Tarzan shoot off an arrow at the old coot before the door closes?

All the comments above are right. The stupidest villain/plot turns etc. So why do we (including me) get so damned involved? C’mon Tarzan!

Now if Buroughs and Robert Howard had teamed up, we would have a real monster waiting for Tarzan back in the depths of the dark … but wait … what’s that I see? … eight legs and eight red gleaming eyes … ???

At least this time he legitimately still has his weapons. They never had the chance to disarm him.
