    @Number Three Today’s strip IS funny , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp has been hoisted by his own petard , going for a job interview in his football kit to avoid getting a job didn’t work out :o) my avatar is a photo of Mr Bean wishing you a Happy Birthday for tomorrow , I wanted to be early :o) how was your day? ours should be quite but worrying because Alex is on voluntary isolation for a week because his live in girlfriend was in contact with another teacher that was positive for Covid 19 so we can’t visit each other :o{ keep safe and thanks for caring pal.

    People don’t walk around in cleats. For one it will damage the house floor. Two walking on the hard-top will damage both the cleats and the shoe. And those shoes are expensive too. Most athletes will tie the shoes together and carry them across their shoulder or around their neck to the sports field. Also, now that I’m thinking about it, cleats have a lousy grip on hard-top. They are for digging in to the earth. On hard-top they tend to slip and slide.

    I can just see it now Andy Capp – Employee of the Month. Not that he really did any work, but he kept racking up sales, as he regaled customers with his footy tales.

    Pay him in ale and he’ll be happy to work. Expect a few scuffles with the customers.

    If you’re lookin’ for someone who will argue incessantly about sports with the customers, to the point of fisticuffs, you got your man.

    always pay attention to where you will be interviewing. If you don’t want to work there, you will want to make sure you are dressed appropriately.

    Take it, Andy! It’s more beer money for you! Or should I say, you might make friends with your new colleagues, you’ll all go to the pub together and they might buy the “new guy” a drink!

    Now, back to the real world.

    xxx

    @Afficionado

    Thank you so much for the early birthday wishes.

    I had to go to the supermarket today and afterwards I just decided to walk into town. I bought a Lucozade drink (not the energy one) and just sat at the waterfront drinking it. It was nice and peaceful with few people around.

    Stay safe, stay well and stay happy, pal. Please don’t get the idea that I’ll be taking a day off GoComics for my birthday. I’ll be here! If it fell on a weekend then I probably would. I hope it turns out to be a good day.

    Love to Bella.
