Humankind has no thread to sanity. Some individual human, yes, but humankind, forget it.

Sigh…………The more I see of human behaviour, the more I prefer dogs………

Sanity is overrated.

You mean when I see people talking to their pets, THAT’s sanity? Ouch.

It’s about time that they domesticated a small wild feline. Or that it domesticated them. Not that I have anything against wolves.

Unlike other animals, dogs sort of domesticated themselves. They found it beneficial to hang out with us bipeds and we liked the early warning and protection they gave us. We quickly became hunting partners.

Cats, on the other hand … scientists still disagree if they are domesticated. I have a mutual non-aggression pact with my cat. I stay out of her stuff; she stays out of mine. We occupy the same living space without really acknowledging either’s existence.

This may yet be humankind’s greatest achievement.

Whatever thread there MIGHT BE is rarely tugged, much less followed.

Dogs are angels with fur instead of wings. We know this because when ever humans need help, God sends a dog.

Yes, they certainly will be! Thank all the gods and goddesses! My two rescue Lab mixes are keeping me sane!

Well, after they get paper trained anyway.

And do not forget the poop bag, or expect a neighbors midnight visit with torches.

They are Humankind’s last hope anyway. Though the red meat-eating cannibals across the pond sure are loaded with modern gear including drone warships.
