We are in the imbecilic age.

In what age are we not living? Well, definitely not the mesozoic.

An age of believing that “my” ignorance is every bit as intelligent as “your” training. This is the age of Dunning-Kruger.

The age of delusion.

The Age of Stupid/Stupidity is scheduled to end in January, despite some people’s desperate wish to extend it another four years.

This made me think of the Genesis song “Land of Confusion”. Perhaps the band should re-release it with a new video replacing Ron and Nancy Reagan, Thatcher, Gorbachev and all the other ’80s characters in the original with contemporary ones from this past decade.

It is just unfortunate that we can all-too-easily recognize the stupidity in others while failing to see it in ourselves.
