Well, at least she didn’t come out and say it contains leg of child.

Even the spider is reluctant to indulge in the stew!

Olwen: “The last time I’d asked, you said it wasn’t any body you wouldn’t eat.”

    Baba Yaga: “Urp.”

Hello, everyone!! I wanted to let you know, Swan Eaters is going to have a Christmas break from Dec. 18th to Jan. 4th. We’ll return on Jan 4th, right where we left off!

I love writing Swan Eaters, but of course writing Breaking Cat News and Swan Eaters at the same time can be a juggle. Sometimes it may have to go on little breaks for me to catch up or in this case, give some quality time to my kids over their Christmas vacation. (Breaking Cat News will continue uninterrupted because I am a little ahead on that comic and of course because BCN pays the bills, lol. Swan Eaters is a wonderful extra, when I can make both happen!)

I hope you understand, and I appreciate you reading Swan Eaters and loving these characters so much! I wanted to give a head’s up a few days in advance before I hang up a little “we’ll be back soon” sign up, lol.

I can imagine Baba Yaga is thinking, “Kids these days! Such picky eaters. . . a stray eyeball or two, some unusual colors and textures, and a few wriggly bits and they won’t even try perfectly good stew.”

So it’s got a little bit of everyone – I mean everything. Don’t ask if you really don’t want a truthful answer… and don’t look too closely.

to get me to eat as a child, all my Daddy had to do was say it wasn’t for kids – adults onlyGot me to try some interesting foods that I still love to this day. That is why I never turn my nose up at ANY food.

We love Swan Eaters, but you need to enjoy your family at Christmas. Have a happy holiday, and we’ll see you in January.

I notice the emphasis on I. I’ve got a recipe for Rat Roast for her.

If the stew gets too wriggly, just give it a smack, and it will settle right down!

My mother’s answer to such a question was, “Poison. Eat it.”
