In engineering school we were taught he must use a scale under each foot, add the results, and divide by the square-root of 2. There’s no reason for it, it’s just calculus policy. Also, 10,000 elephants marching across the Golden Gate must use break stride, Myth-Busters regardless.

I step onto the scale, it cycles around 4 times before smashing into pieces. Needless to say, I save money by not buying scales.
