I went out today, to someplace other than the recyle bins. I went to the mall. We don’t have an outdoor one like I had in San Diego. I was starting to get crabby (crabbiier than usual, anyway). So, we masked up and went. I was surprised that there weren’t all that many people there. No bustling crowds, no elbowing your way through people. It was easy to walk at least 6 feet from people. (everyone I saw had a mask except for 2 kids. They were maybe 4 and 6? I can’t tell any more.Stores were limiting the number of customers at one time. I only went into one store, got my stuff and got out. Got a few things at 2 different kiosks. The only line to get in anywhere was at Victorias’ Secret-the Pink Store- whatever that means.I don’t need anything bad enough to stand in a line like that. Anyway, got our few things and got out. It wasn’t a long trip but it was enough to satisfy me. I guess I’m good for another 9 months.

I have been hunkered down in my home minding my own business. Trying (and failing) to get stronger and better. Then out of the blue I get a text that my brother, who visits me often, has contracted Covid 19.

So I have been scrambling to find a testing place. I finally found one and after repeated dialing, I got through after and hour and got registered for this afternoon. This is disheartening.

I’d love to have one of those shirts. Very funny! XD Especially the one with the dog. On another note, saw eight juncos while out walking today.

I took my Brittany, Lady Bird (affectionately called Birdy) (well, she is a bird dog) to the vet this afternoon for our standing Monday afternoon appointment for Cold Laser therapy to reduce inflammation. I mentioned to the vet via phone (still no patient’s family allowed in vet office) that I am going to make a sling to go around Birdy’s torso to assist in her walking without falling down. My vet said she had a vest that had been her late crippled dog’s, and she would give it to me. So when Bill carried Birdy back to the car, she had it on. It has a big handle on the top (along the back) for me to help keep her upright. She got spinal and brain damage when falling off her previous owner’s 4 wheeler. He threw her in a kill shelter, (grrrrr) and National Brittany Rescue got her into foster care and I adopted her 2 year ago, September. Although she walks like a drunken sailor, she is the sweetest, and most laid back dog I have ever had.
