Wait…THIS is part of the project that they are risking their life to do? This secret group just wants to plant a big turd into whatever is left of existence? They created the tech to make this pocket singularity, built and populated Eden, sacrificed some of their own as anthros or whatever…to make this turd?! Oh, they are the ass-hattiest ass-hats that…that…ooooh…
Oh… the Eye is going to love this bunch. But…how to manifest? It might be able to hijack the dittos-if they’re still with Wally. Remember that the Personnel Transporter with Al and Gustine could detect and fry them. Otherwise it’s been known to jump into schisming Anthros. This bunch with the suit are twisted mentally, but still…“rational”.
I think that this guy is speaking of what the Topsider leadership wanted or wants. It is pretty clear that these guys are still looking for an alternative. Amesworth was out there for a reason which we have never heard. And these guys have not yet explained that they are apparently violating some leadership edicts. I think this guy is basically a good guy. He is not denying that they have done horrible things. Probably he would not show them if Amesworth had not mentioned them.
Soo… Thank you all for attending the first Post-apocalypse ‘What the hell are we going to do?’ convention. I know it’s been a dificult time for all of us, but never fear! Our top scientists have worked around the clock, to give us the best possible options for the future and it seems we have just between two options to choose.
First: Embrace the new world and change into a cartoon animal-human hybrid, capable of al the thoughts, emotions and dreams we’ve had up to this moment.
Second: Turn into an indescribable horror, a conglomeration consisting of matter living and dead, a mockery of existence, just to rub it into Life’s unfair face and say: ‘Oi, I didn’t vote for you! ’
Aaand, the votes are in… Wonderful! I’m glad we can all see sense…
Oh the maturity, oh the humanity, oh how typical… PS: I don’t suppose these clowns ever thought of spending their research time looking to cure or eradicate the virus…
I don’t have much to add here except that I feel really bad for Duffy/Tuffy, who has obviously never been through anything like this and had no idea what he was really getting into.
I started this a few years ago when I picked it up from Doc Rat but drifted away for some reason. I just binged read over the whole series. I find it interesting that Wally is upset by what he saw, given everything he has been through.
ALRIGHT, Aaron….you’ve got everyone’s mind bent and blown to the point of hypothetical hysteria! You HAVE to at least give us all a glimpse of what these horrific creatures look like. PLEEEEAAAAASSSEEEEE!!! LOL
My guess on the Rats is that Marx imported them from a Rat Dimension, a world where all the people are anthropomorphic rats, kinda like Willie Wonks “employing” the Oompa-Loompas. Anything I overlooked that rules this out?
There is one thing about this that sort of jumps out at me as an obvious path for humanity that the topsiders have never seemed to pursue. What about the “anthros” that are actually human? We know that some people woke up still themselves, yet the topsiders killed them because they thought that they were infected with a virus, but now they know that there is no virus, so these are quite literally humans that don’t need a suit. What is the product of their reproduction? The lizard colony was eating the eggs that they produced that weren’t lizards, so it is assumed that not all offspring will be the same species, but it would all be mammalian using that pretext as a basis. And there may be a higher probability of human offspring if both sources are human. This whole arc never seems to be studied, but if you wanted to maintain “humanity”, this seems a much more rational way to go about it. Also, we assume that anthro offspring will not turn into monsters when born or they wake up. This is because they are already part of the reality, I assume. This should also be true of anything made from their DNA. If they want to make sure the offspring is human they should be using antro humans as a source for reproductive material. It is also possible that anthros could have “human” children. There is a lot of things here that Aaron never really followed the logic of.
You know, this installment reminds me of the scene in Genesis of the Daleks where the Kaled scientist shows Doctor Who the “ultimate mutation of the Kaleds” and the Doctor says “You’ve got problems.”
Maybe the point here is that the monsters are in a LAB. So far they haven’t been set loose on the anthro world. Is our friendly Topsider looking for an ally destruction-wise?
Forgive me for posting on this episode instead of where it was brought up…I forget what day that was.Someone commented that Sarah may have run away from Jim because he was not “big”. I think it could have been the opposite. The male raccoon has a baculum which, at least is this example https://www.amazon.com/Real-Raccoon-Baculum-Penis-Bone/dp/B008FCPUL4 was 13 cm long (over five inches for us nonmetric Americans). Jim, a three foot anthro, may have been even longer. And I read somewhere the male raccoon’s thingie is covered all over with backward pointing spines.Don’t worry, I won’t be hogging this much more…I am an Aspie and I am in one of my “flare” obsessions. Count it additional material to help get through the long weekend pause. :-)

One has to wonder if there’s much of a difference between these and the “toothy, many-eyed horrors” the rest of humanity was doomed to become."

We’ll soon learn what they want from the guys.

We still haven’t heard from Marx. His crew rescued a few people including Kirby and Chick. So much more to see here.

We met Dr Amesworth and Ravenclaw. I wonder if one of the remaining bunch is Dr Moreau?

I hope the ‘suits’ get theirs in the end! But they probably expect that.

You can see the wheels in Wally’s head assessing how to fight them. So much more exciting than doing laundry.

This is really some dumb reasoning. You call that a master plan?!?
