The latest iteration of the ethics code allows counselors to treat their relatives in certain circumstances.
As long as the counselor maintains objectivity, it may be permissible for him or her to treat a relative.
But this does not normally extend to a husband or wife, for how can they maintian objectivity being that close to the person?
She actually has been suggesting the two get therapy for their…issues…for awhile now, and she does have a point with it. I don’t think she means necessarily seeking it from herself, of course, but…she’d probably still try if asked.
