Oh, Elly, I am not impressed with your multisyllabic words of threat. No one can speak that coherently when they are tired. The one who really impresses me is Elizabeth, who managed to sleep through all that going on in the bedroom she shares with April. and still get up in time to make herself breakfast, while looking great.

I’ve seen Mike’s cluelessness before in other kids his age, and have demonstrated it myself when I was a kid. There have even been studies done—for whatever reason, adolescents have a hard time “reading” other people—the clues (blatant ones in Elly’s case) seem to fly right over their heads, resulting in some unpleasant consequences.

A couple of slices of bread ,some cold cuts, and mayo or mustard. It’s not hard, Michael.

I am so glad that I have given up on coffee and any caffeinated drinks. It makes life so much more mellow.

They already had a strip where Elly told her kids where they were more than capable of making their own lunches. I think one was where Michael makes demands of his mother, then when told to do it himself, he walks off with barely anything. Another one had to do with bananas, as I recall.

Gee, Michael, great smartass comeback. NOT… how long are you grounded for this action? I too am not a morning person and 1000% sympathize with her and especially not getting any sleep, which unfortunately I am experiencing again in my life due to a back injury not fixed yet. The rage does exist.
