Old trick. If you have a tune stuck in your head, there are tunes that will kill it. I don’t know many of them but the National anthems of Great Britain & Northern Ireland and the United States Anthem ae two that will stop you thinking of the tune and don’t get stuck in your head to replace it.
Has anyone else experienced this: I’ll wake up suddenly in the middle of the night from a sound sleep (usually needing to pee), and there will be music running through my head. And not soft, sweet, acoustic music, oh no…it’ll be Metallica or the 1812 Overture or Pop Goes the Weasel…something raucous and inconducive to getting back to sleep. And if I try to “change the station”, it shifts right back. My brain hates me…
