Heros all the way. So many medical people have contracted COVID-19, saving the rest of us and still when over the virus, return to save more people. Pure dedication and heroism.
What I’ve noticed in this entire episode is the millions of “little people” who went on doing their jobs, masked and social distancing, while the “leaders” wrangled and complained and generally impeded success. The “essential workers”: health care, first of all, but all the others we rarely hear about: the garbage collectors, the shoppers, the postal clerks/deliverers, the teachers, the police. THANK YOU! And to all those who wear masks and social distance: again, THANK YOU! The TRUE patriots.
Prayer for the fallen, and those who love or who care for them. The end is a long way down the road and only perseverance and dedication will get us there.
I ride a bus to/from work, a nurse was describing her experience with her vaccine and how well it went – another rider said he would never get a dose because he doesn’t trust government!
I’ve never understood our tendency to call athletes “heroes” or “brave” because of their exploits. They’re playing a game. They’re famous or, perhaps, infamous. If they conduct themselves well off the field (or whatever), perhaps role models. I reserve “hero” for people who face genuine danger and/or hardship on behalf of others.

No face masks, no social distancing! My opinion is you haven’t learned anything!

The only positive thing about this Pandemic is that it’s forcing everyone to alter their perspective whether they know it or not.
