We had an usually long summer this year, but nevertheless, I put my mower away and activated the snow blower on the 2nd week of October. It wasn’t meant to be. Mild weather still prevailed, grass continued to grow, and snow was nowhere to be seen.
It was probably the mower that petrified over the winter. Hardly anyone remembers to keep them oiled, and out of the rain. Once you have to use them in the spring a few times, maintenance seems much more important! They’re still a royal pain to use on an uneven lawn.

know of anyone who mows their lawn in the winter?

There’s some things a short person simply can’t do with equipment made for taller people. Sad, but true.

Roger, getting your children to mow the lawn is one thing but for goodness sake at least let them have something better than an old manual mower.

But in no way was I going to cut it again.

I’ve been here before. Funny thing is after I moved out of the house my dad bought a riding mower.

The mower might have rusted into no movement possibly.

just a quick turnaround and mowing, sweating, bugs, sun, and HIGH electric rates will be here! Enjoy the few days left of winter nirvana!

Jason, you left it outside and the wheels rusted still.

We got one of those mowers, maybe 20 years ago. It was very hard to use on our lawn. We went back to using a gas powered mower.
