I hate the words “new and improved” the majority of the time all they have done is mess up a good food to make it taste terrible. And they lose customers.
Because “New Coke” was such a great idea. Oh, and switching from cane sugar to corn syrup for the US market. Hm. Breaking up Ma Bell … Any others, friends?
some sawdust off the floor. a few peanut husks for fiber. another cup of corn syrup. more food coloring to make it look better. box is now 3d printed. made the inner liner indestructible. paid a gazillion dollars to be listed number 1 cereal on Gaagle, Fartbook, Twister, and Innergram so raised the price to cover our expense. so, yeah – new and improved!!!!! just like our ………………….. honesty
The first time I had my eyes opened to this type of Marketing behavior was in an Economics class. The teacher used as an example those little push-pull windows at the corner of the larger roll-up windows on cars. He explained that the car manufacturers eliminated them entirely, called the resulting larger one-piece roll-up window “new and improved”, increased the price, and saved themselves a boatload of manufacturing cost…
All my life I loved Campbell’s Chicken and Stars soup, but then one day it got the “Same Great Recipe!” label, and it’s just not true. The pasta used to be tiny little stars but now it is big slimy blobs that totally overwhelm the flavour of the soup. I’ll never buy it again.

I often don’t like the new and improved version of groceries.

Interesting product name, Chaff Clusters. Chaff as in “separate the wheat from the?” Must be a high fiber thing, like bran.

Does it mean more sugar and smaller quantities while the size of the box stays the same?

If a product was so great why the need to be new and improved?

“New and Improved” are code words for making it cheaper and cutting down the weight and quantity of the contents in the box…..

Ive been back on night crew for over 6 months but I dont often stock the cereal aisle
Just happens I did last night so this had an extra reason to make me laugh
I hadn’t realized that in many popular cereals we have 4 sizes -regular, large, family and giant
There’s only a few ounces difference between them

Chaff? I hope that isn’t the same stuff they launched from B-52s to confuse the enemy radar.

Another marketing scam is “Same Great Recipe!”
