The “powers that be” or whatever seem or seems to sure be extremely interested in these ugly things surviving from generation to generation. So I suppose stick insects are meant to replace us when we’re long gone, cool!

I remember the first time I saw wi-fi was a public demonstration of it in the Grand Foyer of the Kennedy Center in D.C. in the mid-to-late 90s. They had some computers set up in a display and you could connect to the internet. It was extremely slow. I had no inkling that some day we would come to rely on it so heavily every minute of the day.

How many people now associate Tesla with cars rather than communication?

Are the stick insects just shy of suspended animation (to greatly limit their metabolism for 79 DAYS)?

The Wi-Fi broadcasting statue of Tesla is a nice tribute, but why did they put a ball in his hand when it is well known that Tesla had a Trypophobia (a fear of spherical objects)?

The Tesla statue makes a great disguise.

Any idiot insurrectionist willing to do stupid things near 25,000 National Guard troops will find out that the time for mollycoddling has past.

If mating takes 79 days, wonder how long the gestation period is.

Nothing is going to happen. It is all just talk on the internet. All the expense for the security is just not necessary.

The embrace is substantially longer if, during the embrace, you happen to step on the couple.

The statue is only thought to radiate WI-FI.

Had they fed the dog haggis, which is not made on a skewer, it would not have happened.

Take care, may Norwegian condom burner Johann Bjord be with you, and gesundheit.

It would be a better tribute to Tesla if they’d put it in a WiFi dead zone/poor area!

The Tesla statue is in Palo Alto. Silicon Valley comprises the cities of San José, Santa Clara, Cupertino, Milpitas, Los Gatos, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Menlo Park and Palo Alto. Since it’s not a geographic delineated space, many would say it includes the entire San Francisco Bay Area.
