Sure, masks make it a little harder to hear, especially if the speaker does not enunciate. But with a little practice and discipline, people can learn not to mumble. Throughout the pandemic, I’ve had to both speak publicly on a regular basis, and if I can do it(and be understood), anyone can.
“If I can do it . . . " is a mark of unlimited conceit: that everyone must be exactly like me (because I can’t be bothered to consider their differences!).

I have had no problems with either myself or others being heard — and understood, — even though we wear masks.
