Today is:

National Nothing Day. It’s my day off, so I plan on doing a whole LOT of nothing today. However, there are some things I will need to do (daily chores – dishes, litter box duty, etc., etc.)

National Fig Newton Day.

National Use Your Gift Card Day. I don’t have any gift cards to use.

National Without a Scalpel Day

National Religious Freedom Day. That’s every day. Every day, we are free to observe our chosen religion or no religion at all – whatever suits us. Nobody can force their religion (or lack of religion) on anyone else. I choose to be Christian, myself.

No tip for Chesney today. BTW, Pearls features the Crocs and Zeeba today and it’s very funny. I get so bored with Rat.

Certainly wasn’t worth the wait, was it?

I LOLd!

We haven’t been out to eat since March but I had a hankering for sweet and sour shrimp yesterday. (No, I’m not going to make it myself. That would involve me and a stove hanging out together) When we were finished at Target, we called ahead for takeout from out favorite Chinese place and brought it home. It was SOOOO good. And the hot/sour soup? Perfection!

Anybody who waits three hours to complain is already a “linguini head”. :)

There is a French restaurant in our little town of 600 where one can expect to wait an hour to be noticed, and up to another 2 hours to be served. I’ve only been few times with friends for a celebration. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT, if the owner/cook isn’t too drunk to finish cooking! It’s very popular with long distance hikers coming off the trail to town for resupply who are tired of freeze dried meals.

Ah, the old spaghetti on the head bit. Classic, simply classic. Chesney’s customer service leaves much to be desired. On another note, saw three squirrels and a sparrow while out walking today.
