Anyhow, darned cold out in FL, very windy and temps in Tampa stayed in the 40’s and low 50’s all day Tuesday, if the winds die down it could get warmer in the afternoons but then we will definitely have a frost/light freeze possibility Wednesday night and if that happens which could actually help the late season Valencia and Pineapple oranges get a bit sweeter but the strawberry farmers do not like it. However, I will take it over the blizzard that just went through the NE, anytime I see the Weather Channel reporting 18 inches of snow in Central Park, I know that has to be a brutal storm, probably the only reason this cold front got shoved through FL so fast!

Miracles Happen!!!! Queen Alice has had to wear shirts for years now due to overgrooming. Now that Princess Belle is in the house, that has stopped. I talked to my vet who is also a dear friend and she noticed Alice did not have any chew marks. I took off her shirt and her fur was beautiful. We decided to leave the shirt off and we are now on day 3 with no exposed skin. Maybe Belle was sent to us for this reason. If this lasts, I will be going to the shelter to donate a basketful of shirts!

Imagine I’m that dog, and Beatrix asks me, “How are you feeling?”, I’d say, “I have coronavirus”.

I hope Puck rakes that meteorological scamming whistle pig over the coals!! I don’t trust ‘Woodpile Wilford’ any further than I can comfortably spit a brick…

I’d like to think Sir Hog really does believe he is providing a valuable service. Or at least carrying on a family tradition.

OT Rant:

Yesterday, and by yesterday I mean Monday night and Tuesday morning sucked!

When I got to work I found that the usual second shift person hadn’t shown up and her fill-in had done almost nothing so I basically had to do both shifts work. And no, the snow storm wasn’t an excuse because it hadn’t even started snowing by the time she was supposed to get in. I managed to get in much later even though I don’t have a car. Taxis and Lyft exist for a reason.

Then my relief didn’t show, either of them (First shift has two people, Third usually only has one) so I had to wait two hours until they got someone to cover me.

Then I took a bus home. Or more accurately two, the second of which I had to wait nearly an hour for. Then when I got home, because of the snow drifts it took 5-10 minutes to get onto the sidewalk and up the stairs. Fortunately, thanks to a neighbor I didn’t have to shovel my steps and sidewalk afterwards. He was just starting to do his and offered to do mine. I paid him $30 even though he didn’t ask.

I’m getting too old for this shit
