We all have battle scars. Some we’re proud about, some we’d never admit to.

My son played sports. He threw his body into the game. I think he has more stiches than a baseball.

100 scars couldn’t make either one of them cool.

Well my son managed to break both wrists when he was swinging out over a small ledge on a grapevine and the grapevine broke! He went back to school that Fall with both wrists in casts and charmed all the girls into carrying his books and getting things for him, he loved it. He was 14. (One of many incidents) That’s the way boys are!

My son has couple of them on his head. When he was younger we had a swing set, I was outside and he was playing with a swing glider that hit him on top of head, fortunate there was a Dr.’s office not far, he took him in to stich our son, the other time got cut on side of head, we went after hours for immediate care. Our son still has the scars.

The most common cause of death among teen-aged boys is accidents. Those of us who were lucky just have scars.

The first time I had to get stitches was in the 4th grade after running into a classmate at recess and his teeth went into my forehead.

It’s not so much how a person actually gets the scars, it’s how creative the explanation actually is.

Peter should just tell Jason, “Chicks dig scars.” That’ll end the contest in a heartbeat!
