I think my dog is The Slurp. Especially when she comes home from doggie day care.

Mine is The Lick.

I knew a dog once — I can’t remember whose it was — but she would “galloop” when she drank. Then she would come and dry her face off with your lap.

I called her “The Gallooper”.

It’s weird that I can’t remember who her owner(s) was/were! Guess they weren’t as memorable as their dog?

Mine is the monsoon.

Wait! Where’s the one that drags his ears in the bowl and then shakes his head???

Mine has a foot bath at the same time.

I have one that’s a lick and one that’s a monsoon.

I have never seen a dog sip its water.

Our briard was a monsoon. Upside – when toweling off her muzzle, we could also wipe away the food from her ears and beard.

Blazer was a monsoon. We put his water dish is a cookie sheet, lined with newspaper. And then we sat the entire business on a folded scatter rug. Lawsy, what a messheimer that dog was!

My dog (husky) has a drinking problem. We rescued her at age 5 and she has had this since the first day: she ‘slurps’ but then coughs and spews a bit. We tried raising the bowl off the floor and it seemed to briefly help, but the problem returned within a few days.

With my Lab it is “The bucket brigade.” He carries water from his bowl to all parts of the kitchen.

I had a bloodhound that drank from the bottom of the bucket

Our Dane, Rosie (RIP), was in the dish up to her eyeballs and looked like a breaching whale when she was finished.

I know this is about dogs but I have a cat that does “the sip” at the water bowl however, the food bowl is definitely “the monsoon!”  Honestly, she has horrible table manners!

You left out the one who is so intent on his own wants that he steps in his water bowl and spills it everywhere when someone is trying to get past him and HE WON’T MOVE!!!!!
