    Volcanoes: the earth’s zits.

Humans: the greasy dirt causing the zits.

    Sounds about right.

Some volcanoes vent more than just once in awhile. Kīlauea volcano on Hawaii (the Big Island) erupted virtually nonstop from January 1983 to September 2018. Fortunately its Lava Flow eruptions were/are relatively “peaceful” and “safe”.

“… with us to deal with 24/7”, she probably should vent more often.

Guess we’re lucky here in MO. We have no volcanoes. We do have floods, lightning, tornados, and the occasional earthquake. The latter so far have not been very severe. They seem to happen about every ten years or so. We’re about due for another one. Hopefully, this will be no more severe than the rest.

Are humans the only animals with an entitled sense of self-importance?

Mother Earth has to be driven to madness before the current GOPSOBs will protect her. Former President Nixon signed the Clean Air and Clean Water legislation. Today’s GOPSOBs destroy for short term profits, leaving their, and our children and grandchildren to deal with the inevitable fury.

The last eruption here was in 1915, that is not too long ago as volcanoes go, that was Mt. Lassen, but it and Shasta are both considered active. I’ve been to the summit of both of them, there is also Mt. Konocti in Lake county which still smokes, there are numerous hot springs near it, and geysers in Calistoga. so we get earthquakes here, the San Andreas fault runs just north of LA, and up through SF bay. There are several active faults in the state, I have felt several quakes, a friend of mines driveway buckled in the San Fernando Quake where the veterans hospital collapsed. There are hot springs in the San Gabriel mountains, and all up the Owens Valley.

I was stationed in Biloxi Mississippi, and when I told some natives I was from California, they said "I wouldn’t live there, it has earthquakes, then a hurricane came along and left alligators, cotton mouth moccasins and tree branches all over the runway, and hundreds of homes destroyed. Earthquakes last about 30 seconds, hurricanes for hours.

For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now, waiting with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.
