Ooh! We’ve yet to hear about the downstairs neighbors. Goldie! We have a mystery – a cold case, even – for an investigative journalist and/or detective!
A new Valentine week story arc! Hope you are continuing to feel better Georgia so you can enjoy a nice Valentine dinner IRL too. (One reason we older persons tend to eat dinner early even tho it is the butt of jokes is that it gives you more time for digestion before bedtime and thus reduces the chance of unfortunate reflux events. Not as romantic as after the kids are in bed, but definitely safer.)
I knew there had been an earlier attempt at a romantic dinner! This is from October 23, 2014 on the BCN Past Reports. http://www.breakingcatnews.com/comic/the-people-are-having-a-quiet-night-in/ For newbies here, a chance to observe how her artwork has changed.
The Children look as if they’re practicing playing their Flu Floopers, Tah Tinkers, Hoo Hoobers, Gah Ginkers, Trum Tukers, Sloo Slonkers, Blum Blookers, Woo Wonkers, and building up to the Electro Who Cardio Schlooks.
Thank you, Georgia, for the reminder to go Valentine card shopping! Partner deserves a really special one this year. He just completed his radiation treatments last week. Hopefully the cancer is gone for good this time. Also hoping that his sense of taste recovers soon so that he can enjoy meals again.
Thanks for the answers to my question Saturday. I tried to do a top level count of ages by grouping though I might have missed some. The 60s definitely had the most people that responded. Of the people I counted almost half of them were in their 60s, though there were a few not far from 70. The next highest group was 50s and then 70s. The oldest I saw was 86 and the youngest was 10.
I posted this on another site that was talking about hope. My husband is back in the hospital. He went in the last week of Dec., came home after a week and was taken back by ambulance again Wednesday. The love of my life doesn’t know who I am. I need the support of the orb now.
LOL… this is me in one week. Our 20th wedding anniversary… during COVID lockdown… so our intimate meal will include our 7 person COVID pod. (Us, my mother, 3 adult children & a new DIL and a dog, 2 cats and a rabbit.)
…. I hear that there might be a covid baby boom… I don’t know how anyone finds a private place to have sex!
We usually have steak or seafood… I think this year will be Hindu food… it’s tasty and cheap… and I’ve had alot of practice making it in the last year. ;-)
Umm. There’s another group not represented. The radio station in the Big Pink House. Tillie and Freddie and their bunch. No reason to exclude them—ghosts don’t eat much.
Wait, there are more mice than just the Robber Mice? I know the Golden Mouse existed (and is no a ghost), but I didn’t realize there were other mice there. Maybe they could use Smokey, Bandit, and DC.
Speaking of rodents in the walls, Robber Mice to be specific, we have a new and amusing pass time.
We have a heated water dish on the deck. Since the orange tabby has been visiting now and then Lisa keeps a bowl of crunchies next to the water. The cat gets fed (when he chooses) and we have an almost daily visitor, Mr Snuffles the possum. Of course a couple raccoons also drop in every few days.
The entire wall is sliding doors and plate glass, so you can see everything at floor level. All of the “kittens”, Trixie’s 2 litters, have been spending a lot of the night sitting by the food bowl, staring intently. With an occasional burst of frothing and whirling. We looked and looked and watched and couldn’t figure it out. Too cold for flying insects.
A few nights ago I saw a flash of movement. Brownish streak, cats in a flurry of action. A robber mouse. Creeping along the edge of the window, giving a double finger to the kittens and stealing kibble, one chunk at a time. Apparently making the journey multiple times an hour. Now that some snow drifted in that way you can see the little path. Started as a few footprints, now looks like well worn road through the tiny drifts.
