This is probably the most heartwarming moment involving Duke.

20 years ago is a good reference to 40 years ago. 50 elicits a sigh. As does 55 and (groan) 60. Years ago. Let’s have a show of hands from all the girls and boys who remember Sputnik. No cheating, you had to be potty trained.

Didn’t it turn out that the USSR in fact had nowhere near the resources that would have been required to pose a viable threat to the USA? Am I misremembering that from somewhere?

I was 19
