I think Earl needs to grow a spine and Opal needs to grow up.

It’s never enough.

For me, it’s the guilt of being given food which I haven’t earned or contributed to makes whatever I’ve been given enough.

Aesop, I haven’t heard about him for a long while, Aesop’s fables! I thought the apple guys were William Tell or Sir Isaac Newton!

If Aesop was so wise, why is he dead?

I think Opal ate the rest of the pie.

It’s self serve after the first piece Earl.

Earl needs not to depend on Opal….knowing how snarky she gets! Geesh, what a grouch!

And this scrip needs the precious Roscoe .

Opal’s response is over Earl’s head. He does not get it….the pie!

Give him all he wants! At his age he should be able to.

Know we know why there have been primitive tribes that killed off their elderly.

“See that ice flow over there, gramps? It looks really comfortable! Go check it out before the current takes it out into the open ocean!”

I don’t recall that Earl is disabled and cannot find his way to the kitchen to get his own damn pie? He has to whine to his wife like a child, or make a formal request like she’s a waitress? I hope he tips well.

Was Opal alive when Aesop was writing?

If Earl wants another piece of pie, he can go get it himself. Opal is NOT his maid.

She’s got a platitude and an attitude about his lack of gratitude.

So does mediocrity.

Firstly, Opal, that’s a Fable. That he loves your pie is high praise. Add some ice cream to that.

Earl needs to get off his duff and get his own dang pie.

Yes, but it is also said that satisfaction is the enemy of progress.

But Earl has no more pie, so there’s nothing for gratitude to work on in this case.
