About this stage of growing up this is when my brother and I realized we really did LIKE each other. We were so close after that. I feel so lucky to have had him in my life (and my corner). He died suddenly at 40 but I can still feel him watching over me at times.
Sitting on the sofa together, reminded me of when my son,an only, and his best friend had a falling out while they were playing in his room. My son came downstairs and plopped in the recliner, saying he was mad at his friend. A few minutes later his friend came downstairs and sat right next to him in the SAME recliner. I never said anything. After a while they went on back to playing as though nothing had happened.
The important age is the age between siblings. If they are far enough apart in age, there is very little rivalry. My brother and I were six years apart and rarely squabbled.

specially with a dog between them so they can’t cross each other’s border on the sofa

I thought that with children, the quieter they were the more trouble they were causing.;-D

Been there. They are now in their 50s and they still aren’t talking to each other!

Uh, how hard can it be to stay away from his sister’s bra? Or her room, which often has a crying baby in it? And I doubt his room is such a palace.

Is this the start of new Cold War?

John is correct, he is just about 20 years early though.

The pathway to peace goes in opposite directions. The trick is to make sure you are facing the right way.

Lynn’s Comments:
My brother did call me “Sistwirp.” This could be a small homage to him. Or not. Mind you, I did call him “Wiggy.” Still do. Maybe we’re even!

These kids only snack on popcorn, and apples. I’m surprised that they are allowed soda. Daddy IS a dentist.

They should be a family and sing songs. Here is a good one…
Pattersons: That’s the sound of Gordon’s father…working on the chain…gang.
April{as baritone}: Don’t you know?
Pattersons: That’s the sound of Gordon’s father…working on the chain…gang.
Pattersons: All day long he works so hard, until the sun goes down.
Pattersons: Working on the highways and byways and wearing a frown.
Pattersons: It happened when he decked his son that day.
Pattersons: Next thing you know he was hauled away.
Pattersons: That’s the sound of Gordon’s father…working on the chain…gang.
April{as baritone}: Don’t you know?
Pattersons: That’s the sound of Gordon’s father…working on the chain…gang.
Pattersons: His, his, his, his, his work is so hard.
Pattersons: Give him water, he’s thirsty.
Pattersons: His, his, his, his, his work is so hard.
