Whoever she just stabbed to death didn’t have time to transform. What if she nicks open a suit while they subdue her? Zero guns at the ready, folks…

They’re all so dependent/used to their suit interfaces that she didn’t realize what she was seeing was a suit malfunction/“Eye” sending false info to her visual interface. I agree that “Eye” is going to toy with people until mass chaos erupts. …and Wally & Co will be right in the middle of it…

Reminds me of a cartoon I saw once. Couple people were at the bottom of a pit and one says “Now at least there is nowhere to go but up” And under their feet is a shaft, with the floor/ceiling crumbling.

This may be an early end to the topsiders. They already know that they are destined for extinction as an unmutated human strain. Now their technology is becoming hostile.

Mr. Neathery can produce some really creepy imagery. The smeared shadowfaces with dark eyes showing pinpoints of light…the hint of teeth…. Gah!

As I understand, we are watching the Eden Project. This is a construction kept secret from the “official” Topsider heirarchy(they’ve mentioned being killed if discovered by officialdom). I don’t know how they could keep such an elaborate setup secret, but there it is. Therefore it is potentially disconnected from the standard Topsider networks. Although there must be some kind of electronic communications between them. It might be possible that when the Eye breaks out, just the Eden Project melts down, and not all Topsiders in all outposts. Or, the Eye might reach them all and…feed on them, or whatever it does. And then it woul expand in this world and take everything else, too.

I wonder if she will start feeling stuffy in her own suit. Like our previous friend.

Can something burn horrifically slow? That’s what this feels like; an intense, monstrous, horrific, yet slow burn. It’s excruciating, and gets under your skin; torturous almost. I want to cry out for it to stop, but of course I don’t ever want it to stop. Help!

Damn, not even the suits could keep ‘it’ out forever. The nuke may have been the more merciful option. I guess if this really is the final assault on the Topsiders Wally and Co. will find themselves escaping the colony and facing something that would make toothbrushes seem pleasant in comparison. Insane Topsiders attacking anything that moves, breached suits leading to monsters… And… Knowing ‘I’ it is gonna breach containment at the lab and release the ‘other things’.

I wonder how Eye would do in the toothbrush universe. Unless it was already there.

I wonder what happens when the Eye interacts with mutts? Imagine it turning the mutts on the Topsiders…

Hmm, now one has to wonder just what happened to Ravenscroft’s eyes. When deprived of his lenses, he said “It burns! It burns!”

So much is happening in short spaces of time, except for the real world time being long on account of what time I finished reading. I miss being not-caught-up with the most recent pages. :(

Its tooken me 2 and a half weeks, nearly bawling seeing molly go, nearly bawling seeing that toon copy show up, but I’ve done it IM ALL CAUGHT UP!…..OH GOD IM ALL CAUGHT UP

So they all are chasing Debbie, and then chop her up, just because she looks at them and says oh god?!

I don’t know what would be worse: People starting to see others as weird and panicking or is it that they see what others really look like under the suits. Shudder.

More speculation, but here goes: Ted/Eye has chosen his target and has successfully broken her mind (he wasn’t able to “break” his first subject.) Now that she’s losing her mind, he can fully enter their reality rather than being limited to being a mere presence in their network. Watch for Debbie to go full Firestarter and start talking about her children…
