Well, at least he is honest. It’s like the financial “mortgage crisis” we had in the States. Lending to people who are ill prepared and ultimately unable to pay must be at least partially the fault of the lender. It’s not like Andy has a Equifax score in the triple digits…
@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny our HERO Mr Andrew Capp is not willing to spend his dole money on essentials like , rent or debts ,he would rather spend it on booze and wild , wild women , after all ifhe cuts out the wine and the women he won’t feel like singing :o)my avatar is a spoof of James Bond 007 having a license to kill but not one to drive ,it tempting if you can have one but it is sinful to use on pests but it a sin and you end up in hades :o{ how was your day and ae you feeling well because you did not comment yesterday , our Finally Friday should be busy but we will cope I hope ,we are both in a fairly good mood and this evening I’ll be having my fave nosh garlic included , keep safe and come back when you feel like it young Lady
Had to google George Best, I always associated this phrase with George Raft who, when asked how he went through $10 million dollars replied “Part of the loot went from gambling, part for horse and part for women. The rest I spent foolishly.”
Yesterday, I saw Andy Capp Hot Fries, BBQ Fries, Cheddar Fries, and Steak Fries (corn and potato) on the shelf at a market near home. While not my kind of snack, I had to chuckle to unexpectedly encounter a row of Andy Capps strategically placed at eye level. I wonder if they sell those at the race track…

I would interpret that as chicken wire and lumber for his pigeons’ coop as well as food for his favourite fowl friends.
