But which is the silliest. I vote Chem Trails, I know 2 people who believe this one. Have yet to see any Passenger Jets with the required spray gear attachment. And why do they spray them over the oceans and deserts? Isnt that a waste.
Not extreme enough for Qanon followers. No cabal of cannibal paedophiles, Jewish space lasers or the “storm” about to happen in the next couple of days when Trump takes over government again lol.
Sadly every country has its conspiracy theorists. How are so many people so easily led down that rabbit hole that keeps growing in size? Never really been interested in getting my news from other than reputable major main stream news sources.
Just because someone says something is a conspiracy theory doesn’t make it wrong or right, good or bad, true or false.
A True Theory should have (experimental) evidence to back it up.
The way “Conspiracy Theory” is used by most today actually implies that (at least the person saying it believes that) it actually is not a theory because it does not have evidence to back it up and that it is only based on someone’s crazy idea.
Sadly, some valid conspiracy theories are discounted by many because of the way the term is used/misused/abused.
The New incoming Government must create new Conspiracy theories, in order to counter the old Conspiracy theories of the last administration. The problem is these new Conspiracy theories are in fact the same old Conspiracy theories, just in reverse. This confuses the media who often report the old Conspiracy theories as new, leading to mass hysteria and paranoia in the population at large. Social media out of a desire for relevance, create new Conspiracy theories about the old Conspiracy theories and the motives of the Government. Thus pandemonium, violence, and mass rioting breaks out in the streets. This is heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, often to the point of delusion and irrationality. Always happens on a Monday. This is a never-ending cycle.
Quote for an old movie (weird that I remember the quote, but not the movie it came from): “That’s a ‘Washington’ kind of lie, son. It’s where he’s lying, and I know he’s lying, and he knows I know he’s lying.”
I often refer back to the old quote (who’s origin I don’t remember) – “never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence.” Or at least by something like petty greed. To me most conspiracy theories suffer from the problem that if some evil master mind were really that smart … they would have come up with a better plan.
Hmm think I’ll start a conspiracy theory….half the ppl here probably work for MIB. And I will not look into that pen thingy with the red square in the middle
If Cliff had said corporations instead of the government, he might have been on to something. But these days, the corporations and the government are pretty much the same thing, anyhow.

Would that be a co-conspiracy theory? For co-conspirators?

Some of them they do just to keep you guessing which are real. It’s all a smokescreen with mirrors.

Conspiracy theories thrive when the so called reputed mainstream media are such biased one-sided propaganda peddling hypocrites.

It’s a conspiracy, I tell ya, Pam!
Seriously, though, where does it all end? It seems like a vicious cycle.

Conspiracy theories certainly do keep us divided. Part of the country believes them, and part of the country does not.
