“I can’t wait to get back to helping the less fortunate” I hate to bring politics into this strip BUT would like all to take note that every single GOP Senator voted against the Biden COVID relief Bill. And 28 state AG are suing due to the provision in the Biden bill that states that none of the funds in the bill can be used to pass a state tax cut.
Looks to me like the republicans have not even a tiny bit of empathy for those less fortunate. They would much rather reduce taxes for the 1%(or like Oklahoma, phase out all Corporate income taxes and throwing the 99% a $40 a year tax cut) by placing COVID $$$ in their general funds to fund a tax cut rather than use the COVID funds as they were intended, to “Help the less fortunate” While I am on my rant, I would also note that Congressional republicans also voted against supplementing state unemployment benefits by claiming that people would rather stay at home and collect unemployment than go back to work-For less money.
The republicans in Congress refuse to increase the $7.35 an hour minimum wage. Meanwhile, mega corporations like Walmart give new hires paperwork to apply for food stamps and section 8 housing, all the while claiming they can not afford to raise hourly wages.
Sorry but reading various news sites on the internet this week managed to push all of my hot buttons

After thirteen months (for newer readers, the old mission was destroyed by a snowstorm back in February of last year), the mission is back!
