Our puppie weighs about 60 pounds. He’s a licker.

My dog can be a pain then she reminds me why I love her.

Easiest thing in the world to do is to love a good dog. To paraphrase Shakespeare from “The Merchant of Venice”, …The Quality of a dog’s kiss is not strained. It falls as a gentle rain on the place beneath. It is twice blessed. It blesseth him that gives it and him that receives it….

I’m taking care of a pit bull mix belonging to a friend. The semi-puppy, Ellie Mae, loves to tear up things. So, she is a real problem in my garden. But, she’s also a real hoot in the games she plays. Her favorite toy is an empty bleach container. Crushed to make a three sided bottle, its ideal for grabbing with her teeth and jaws and doing a victory lap. What a hoot.

I miss every dog I ever had.

One of my cats leads a rough and tumble life most of the time but every day she reminds me that she wants her five minutes of “lovey dovey” time. She will stalk me, if I forget. After five minutes of pettings and tousling, she thanks me and goes on her way.

Kewpie probably wants you to take that giant name tag off of her. I’m sure it itches underneath!

I find having my nose slobbered on, less than desirable.
